High Definition Brain SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) Imaging is a nuclear medicine study that assesses blood flow in the brain. Blood delivers oxygen and other nutrients to brain cells, therefore blood flow is a very important measure of brain function. Too much blood flow or too little blood flow in a given area of the brain may be indicative of a specific disorder.
